Why is it that a daughter committing to purity is especially powerful?

• “To a great extent the level of any civilization is the level of its womanhood. When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.” – Fulton Sheen
• Mike Aquilina explains that a major practical reason that the Roman Empire became Christian is because it was the Christians who were saving and raising girls, and their pagan Roman suitors had to grow in virtue and convert to marry them.

What’s the deeper reason for purity’s importance?

• God revealed in the beatitudes that it is the pure of heart who see God!
• The Catechism reveals in section 2518 that there is a threefold connection between the body, heart and soul.
• These three raise each other or pull each other down!
• Purity of body comes through practicing modesty and chastity.
• Purity of heart is from charity and seeking to act with pure intention.
• Purity of faith grows through a love of truth and orthodoxy.

How do you foster purity in everyday life?

• Purity of language- stop cussing! Exorcists report that demons ALWAYS cuss. Satan is the demon of impurity. Don’t imitate him and open yourself and your family to his influence through foul language.
• Offer reparation for your impurity and that of others through constant aspirations like: “JESUS, MARY and JOSEPH, I LOVE YOU! SAVE SOULS!”
• Be discriminating about your online usage and movies.
• Tell the truth in all things. Don’t bind yourself to Satan by lying!
• Be faithful to meal prayers, Mass, confession, daily Rosary and the First Saturdays of the Month Communions of reparation.
• Enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in your home and embrace the 12 Promises for enthroning the Sacred Heart.
• Bless your children every day! Fathers have an especially powerful gift to strengthen, protect, and purify their kids through their blessings.

What special occasion do you do for your daughters?

• At age 15, I bestow on my daughters a purity ring.
• My wife and other daughters help pick out a beautiful Claddagh ring with a gemstone.
• I pick a Marian Feast day if possible.
• We dress up. I come to the door with flowers. We go to a nice dinner.
• We pray together.
• I get on one knee and say “Please accept this ring as a commitment to purity and as a sign of my love and fidelity to honor you and protect you, even with my life, until the day I give your hand in marriage to a worthy man or to the Church.”
• I tear up! My little girl is a lady, and some day I will give her hand to another.
