Why should we pray the daily Rosary?
- Mary asked us to do so at Fatima.

- Fr Hugh Thwaites believes families are saved by the Rosary. Pre-WWII, families prayed the family Rosary daily and kept the Faith. After WWII, many didn’t pray and most lost the Faith!
Why don’t we pray the Rosary?
- We feel like we don’t get anything out of it.
- ‘Not getting anything out of it’ is a lie, a deception of the devil.
- It’s a powerful deception, because it has some truth. Most of us get no pleasure in it.
- However, pleasure is in the senses, happiness is in the mind and the emotions, and joy is in the soul.
- We might not FEEL pleasure in it, but we do get out of it the happiness of knowing we have obeyed Our Heavenly Mother and are participating in saving souls. Our souls joyfully breathe, when we pray!
Why don’t we pray the Family Rosary?
- It’s even harder than praying it alone! Kids go berserk!
- ‘Hardness’ is an indication of spiritual warfare!
- The gate to life is constricted, and the way hard. So, if it is hard, you are on the right track!
- The Truth? Psalm 8: God finds praise on the lips of children to confound His enemies.
- Horton Hears a Who- there is the power of each voice, especially the littlest ones, whose angels are before the throne of God always.
- Fr Patrick Peyton said: the family that prays together, stays together!
Tips for the Family Rosary
- Just do it.
- Rally the thought leaders in your family- your spouse? the oldest child?
- Light a candle.
- Put out an icon or holy pictures for the kids to see.
- Bribe them- dessert, or whatever.
- Fr Patrick Peyton said, “Even the blessed words are effective!”
- Remember: Presence, Not Perfection- just show up.
- If necessary, just do a decade.
- Have a difficulty? Ask for a miracle from Father Patrick Peyton– he needs one for his cause of canonization!
