(i.e. a Glory Be, or Our Father, or Hail Mary, or ‘Jesus, Mary, Joseph, we love You! Save souls!’)
- A burial ceremony with sorrowing relatives is a serious event and people know to respect that.
- The priest made the whole scene appear more legitimate and sacred, so the homeowners were cautious in their response.
- Most people do recognize and respect priests as being called by God to serve others, so they are considerate in dealing with them.
