Part 3:

For about how long was Harrison at the bottom of the sea?

  • Somewhere between 2-3 days

Did Harrison trust God?

  • Yes! He prayed and prayed and then said, “God let thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. I have called on you, and you have never failed me before, and you will never fail me at all in my life.”

How is this story similar to the Israelites' crossing of the Red Sea?

  • In both stories, people died in the sea.
  • The Israelites and Harrison were miraculously delivered by God from the sea.

Amazingly, on that day, Harrison’s wife had texted him Psalm 54, which he read just before the capsizing, and he continued to pray it while he was under the sea:

“O God, by your name, save me.
O God, hear my prayer;
hearken to the words of my mouth.
Behold, God is my helper;
the LORD sustains my life.
I will praise your name, O LORD,
because from all my distress
you have rescued me.”
